Biography

From life-long friends to open mic meetups, Jay Martin & The One Way Flight was forged with one thing in common... groove. Close your eyes and imagine a faceless figure emerging from a smoke-filled stage. You hear the soft vocals of Dave Matthews backed by the pop-rock progressions of O.A.R. while your body sways to the groovy tempo of Counting Crows. This is the foundation of Jay Martin & The One Way Flight.

Their disheveled look, sporting flip-flops and a graphic tee, is a staple to the brand. Appearance means little when your focus is so concentrated on the music. The band members can be seen interacting with fans after every show, reinforcing the idea that it is relationships that form long-lasting fans. So grab a beer and kick back to the sound of pure ecstasy.

Originally formed in Denver, CO the band truly began in 2019 when Jay met the band’s manager, Kev MK. The two of them worked long days and longer nights to assemble a full band to bring Jay’s music to life. After meeting Rocky at an open mic, Jay called up an old friend (Austin) and Jay Martin & The One Way Flight was born.

The band is currently in the studio recording their first single which is poised to be released Spring 2020. After its release, the band plans to continue their work in the studio to produce their first EP in late 2020. In the meantime, they are playing shows all across Colorful Colorado and working toward lining up their first tour.

Jay Martin & The One Way Flight has one purpose; to create music that evokes emotions that even words cannot describe. They have proven that their sound is here to stay and await the opportunity to show the world the power of music. Give in to the Groove.
